Refer to the "How to apply" section if you require a disability-related accommodation. **What can I expect to do in this role?**: In this role, you will: - Coordinate and provide leadership to the planning, development, delivery and evaluation of training programs for the Long-Term Care Inspections Branch. - Conduct consultations to establish learning objectives and emerging training needs in response to changing policies/programs. - Research, design, develop and deliver internal training materials including e-learning, in-class instruction, and reference guides. - Investigate alternatives for the delivery of specialized technical training. - Identify potential service providers and prepare Request for Proposals based on Ontario Public Service and ministry guidelines. - Evaluate proposals, recommend vendor selection and negotiate contract terms in accordance with established performance. **How do I qualify?**: **Technical Skills**: - You have comprehensive knowledge and experience in adult education principles/practices, and ability to develop and deliver technical training curriculum and the use of technologies to support programs such as the Long-Term Care Inspections Branch. - You have knowledge of strategic policy direction, legislative framework, policies, programs and business goals to conduct training needs analysis. **Computer Skills**: **Project Management**: - You have the ability to identify learning needs for business improvement projects. - You have experience providing technical guidance and expertise to senior management and other stakeholders on training initiatives and guidance to project work teams. - You have proven experience making recommendations on the effectiveness and impact of training programs. **Organizational Development and Planning Skills**: - You have demonstrated planning skills, to develop and deliver training curriculum that supports implementation of service delivery models including strategies, training methods, and tools to support business improvement goals and objectives. - You have knowledge of change management/engagement theories, and practices, and organizational development skills to conduct training program design and development projects and produce deliverables within established timeframes. **Communication, Facilitation and Relationship Management Skills**: - You have demonstrated oral and written communication skills to prepare/deliver reports, training and associated communication products. - You have facilitation skills to work with stakeholders to develop and implement projects and programs, clarify problems, seek stakeholder input, identify causes and solutions, and create action plans with clear deliverables and timelines. - You have well-developed interpersonal skills to deal with contentious issues and manage stakeholder relationships. **Additional Information**: **Address**: - 1 Permanent, 5700 Yonge St, Toronto, Toronto Region or 465 Davis Dr, Newmarket, Central Region or 33 King St W, Oshawa, Central Region or 201 City Centre Dr, Mississauga, Central Region or 609 Kumpf Dr, 1st Flr, Suite 105, Waterloo, West Region or 119 King St W, Hamilton, West Region or 130 Dufferin Ave, London, West Region or 870 Richmond St, Chatham, West Region or 347 Preston St, Ottawa, East Region or 49 Place D'Armes, Kingston, East Region or 159 Cedar St, Sudbury, North Region or 70 Foster Dr, Sault Ste Marie, North Region or 34 Simcoe St, Barrie, Central Region or 435 James St S, Thunder Bay, North Region or 438 University Ave, Toronto, Toronto Region **Compensation Group**: - Association of Management, Administrative and Professional Crown Employees of Ontario- Understanding the job ad - definitions**Schedule**: - 6**Category**: - Human Resources**Posted on**: - Thursday,
