The Corporate Communications and Public Relations Department is responsible for telling the LHSC story to the community, partners and stakeholders. It does this through both proactive and reactive media relations, issues and crisis management, digital storytelling, social media strategies, overall management of the corporate website, and internal communications. The department is also the steward of the LHSC brand.

**Job Summary**:
**What the Role is**

NOTE: this role is required to be on-call on weekends to support the team; it does so on a rotational basis with peer managers.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Corporate Communications and Public Relations, the Manager, Creative Solutions and Corporate Identity is responsible for leading the creative services team that implements communications strategy, creates compelling content, and tells the LHSC story in a design-forward, visual, and digital-first way. The Manager will champion and steward the brand, inspire the team, foster creative and innovative thinking, and ensure the delivery of communications that are on brand and on strategy. Responsible for managing all web-based content, the Manager works closely with internal stakeholders to ensure the user experience is translated into both the intranet and external website and content and visual assets are AODA compliant.

The Manager directs, controls and evaluates the delivery of department services. They are responsible for translating decisions of the program leadership into execution, by utilizing relationship management and working with internal and external stakeholders to achieve the necessary outcomes. The Manager ensures their team and department operations are aligned with our mission, vision and values, while working together to successfully achieve our strategic objectives.

This role is accountable for day-to-day department activities, including the management of human and material resources, day-to-day staffing and scheduling, development and support of a healthy workplace, risk and utilization measurements, and facilitation of improvement initiatives and change management, while operating within approved operational budgets and financial guidelines and controls. A major focus of the role is fostering effective working relationships and networks within the team/unit and with other teams across the organization.

This role collaborates with other members of the communications team to create compelling content, using both internal and external resources, that achieves LHSC’s communications objectives. The Manager is responsible for digital and design functions of the department, including web development and digital content, graphic design, photography and videography support. A high degree of collaboration across the organization, with partners such as foundations and stakeholders, is needed.
