Unio Tech Solutions offers a full range of IT services and technology special projects for medium and large sized companies throughout Canada and the USA.

Unio Tech Solutions is seeking skilled **Tier 2 IT Support Technicians** to support and execute the upgrade of end-user systems from Windows 10 to Windows 11 for a specific client project. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software compatibility issues, supporting users before, during, and after the upgrade, and working closely end users, clients and our internal Project management team to ensure a seamless transition. **This is a contract position from June to end of September 2025 with the possibility of extension.**

**Job Responsibilities Include**:

- Perform hands-on upgrades on-site in Halifax and other cities around Nova Scotia, using tools such as Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM), Intune, or imaging solutions.
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and deployment of Windows 11 on desktops and laptops.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues related to the Windows 11 upgrade.
- Document and track issues, resolutions, and provide regular updates to the Project Management team.
- Educate and guide users on new features and functionalities of Windows 11.
- Maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism in all interactions.
- Participates in staff orientation and training as required.

**Qualifications Required**:

- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- **Must enjoy doing hands-on work (this is not a desk job)**:

- Ability to pass police reference checks for high level security clearance.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and travel across Nova Scotia as required.
- 2-4 years of experience in IT support, with at least 1 year in a Tier 2 support role.
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications (e.g., MD-102: Endpoint Administrator).
- Experience in enterprise-scale Windows OS deployment.
- Familiarity with ITIL-based service management practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.
- Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems, including system settings, Group Policy, and user profile migration.
- Experience with upgrade tools such as Microsoft SCCM, Windows Deployment Services (WDS), or Windows Autopilot.**:

Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour
