Paramount Safety Consulting Inc. founded in 2014, has an exciting opportunity open for the position of Entry Level Health & Safety Coordinators in Hamilton, Ontario This position is a salary-based role Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
The Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Coordinator provides support and guidance to operations with regards to the HSE scope of operations under the duties and Responsibilities of this position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop, review, and revise Safe Work Procedures as required.
- Implement Safe Work Practices.
- Complete the Pre-Start Reviews and Job Hazard Assessment as required.
- Conduct incident / accident investigation.
- Conducts Worksite Inspections and provides proactive measures.
- Ensure Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) used and maintained by clients.
- Follow company process and company Safe Work.
- Provide support to clients to maintain compliance.
- Working knowledge of CAN/CSA standards and regulations as per the scope of work.
- Documenting potential hazards, accidents, and near misses.
- Conduct Fire Extinguisher Monthly Inspections.
- Create Safety Talks and conduct Safety Meetings.
- Review and audit Field Level Risk Assessment's.
- Complete Job Hazard Assessment procedures as requested.
- Provide a daily report summary of work activities performed.
This position reports directly to the Director of Health and Safety and Office Manager. The position involves reviewing and evaluating workplace practices, compliance auditing, training.
**Mandatory Qualifications**:
I. Must have successfully completed diploma or degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Management from a recognized training facility in Ontario.
II. Ability to communicate in a classroom, board room setting to complete site-specific orientations, safety talks, Field Level Risk Assessments.
III. Must possess a Valid Driver’s license and be able to provide a current drivers abstract with less than 6 demerit points.
V. Must be able to participate in additional Health and Safety Designations as part of the career path for advancement.

- Saturday (Emergency Only)
