**Position Title**: myFlex Solutions Account Manager
**Reports To**: Manager, Group Administration and myFlex Benefits
**Department**: Group Benefits
**Term**: Permanent Full-Time
**Schedule**: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm PST (flexible hours)

**Work Arrangements**: You will work from your home office 100% of the time. You may be required to be in-person at our office in Waterloo, ON or another assigned location within the Waterloo Region, on an as needed basis. Sales related roles may be required to travel based on the assignment.

**The Opportunity**:  Equitable has a job opportunity for a myFlex Account Manager. This individual will work in a partnership with the myFlex Account Executive by providing comprehensive group account management services covering all aspects of the business. We are looking for someone with a passion for group benefits that genuinely cares for their clients and can thrive in a remote working environment but also within in the team.

This includes installation of new benefit plans, renewal delivery and rate confirmation, amendment support, client training, handling general inquiries and facilitating client presentations on our products and services.

**What you will be doing**:
- Ensure a positive service experience for plan sponsors and advisors as their primary relationship manager for implementations, post sale inquiries, renewals and amendments
- Educate clients about their group benefit plans and coverages by way of presentation (remote and in-person upon request)
- Work in partnership with the Account Executive in their management of advisor relationships by working closely with the advisor service teams in a proactive manner
- Proactively anticipate the needs of your clients/advisors, providing teaching, consultation, as well as exceeding their service expectations
- Identify solutions and opportunities, even when they may deviate from what is requested by your clients/advisors, providing education and guidance as they navigate through the alternatives
- In collaboration with the Account Executive, conduct financial negotiations with advisors to ensure the assigned block of business renews profitably each year
- Work with the Account Executives and myFlex Benefits Specialists to ensure responsive service standards are met or exceeded
- This role is part of a service team and will work collaboratively with other team members. There is an expectation that team members offer cross functional support (across roles and regions) as work volumes require. Clients generally expect a same day response to service requests so flexibility in resourcing is very important

**What you will bring**:
- 3+ years in Group Benefits industry, ideally in a service based role
- Excellent analytical, time-management, problem solving, negotiation and decision-making skills
- To be ambitious and take initiative. As a remote position you’ll need the ability to thrive on your own while also collaborating effectively as part of a virtual team.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Two-way communication: excellent active listening and ability to communicate in a way that is understandable according to your audience both verbally and written.
- Polished presentation skills including virtual presentations.
- Effective at training people on group benefit plan design, technology and administration
- Comprehensive understanding of group insurance (life, disability, health and dental, admin, underwriting, claims and renewals) and the ability to learn Equitable processes
- Requires flexibility to travel (on an infrequent and as needed basis) with a reliable vehicle
- Bilingual in French and English is an asset
- GBA/CEBS Designation is an asset
