Reporting to the Senior Director of Philanthropic Development
Position Summary
The person in this role will play a key part in the development, coordination, and implementation of philanthropic events and projects for the YMCA of Québec Foundation. They will actively contribute to the promotion of the mission and the engagement of partners, donors, and ambassadors. This role combines proactive partner engagement with the operational management of events and fundraising campaigns, including third-party initiatives and corporate volunteering.
Main Responsibilities
Fundraising Events (70%)
- Plan, organize, and coordinate the Foundation’s fundraising events (logistics, budgeting, scheduling, evaluation).
- Manage the implementation of partnership plans and agreements and ensure their rigorous execution.
- Oversee and follow up on ambassador circles and event committees: plan meetings, mobilize members, develop tools, and support their involvement.
- Collaborate with vendors and partners to ensure the quality and relevance of events.
- Analyze project performance (events, committees, sponsorships, partnerships) and produce detailed reports.
- Contribute to identifying and engaging new funding opportunities with corporate, philanthropic, and community partners, aligned with the YMCA of Québec's mission.
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders to expand the Foundation’s network and maximize its philanthropic impact.
- Actively participate in planning and implementing business development initiatives aimed at increasing the Foundation’s reach, visibility, and revenue streams.

Corporate Volunteering (20%)
- Design and implement volunteer programs in partnership with companies.
- Coordinate field activities in collaboration with corporate partners.

Third-Party Fundraising (10%)
- Evaluate and support fundraising projects proposed by external groups or volunteers.
- Provide strategic and logístical support to volunteer organizers, including promotional materials.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project coordination, philanthropic development, events, or partnerships.
- Experience in a nonprofit or philanthropic environment (an asset).
- Proficiency in spoken and written French.
- Intermediate English proficiency. The employee will be required to communicate in English, both spoken and written, with various individuals on a daily basis.
- No criminal record related to the position.

- Excellent command of French, good command of English, both oral and written.
- Good knowledge of Québec’s philanthropic and community sectors.
