Join our dynamic team of Summer Camp Staff at Cardel Rec South and become an integral part of creating unforgettable summer adventures for our participants As a valued member of our team, you'll have the exciting opportunity to craft and lead engaging, safe, and memorable camp experiences that cater to the diverse interests and needs of children and youth.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement indoor and outdoor activities aligned with weekly camp themes, tailored to participant needs.
- Demonstrate creativity and confidence in managing challenging situations.
- Cultivate an upbeat and positive camp environment to foster enthusiasm among participants.
- Maintain regular communication with parents, providing updates on program activities.
- Ensure timely reporting and submission of incident reports and relevant information.
- Manage daily attendance and uphold confidentiality standards for sensitive information.
- Identify and communicate supply needs to the Program Coordinator.
- Serve as a role model, inspiring trust, confidence, and mentorship among children.

Qualifications:

- Between the ages of 15 - 30
- Registered in a recognized Canadian Post Secondary institute and working towards a degree in Business, Marketing, or related programs
- Post-secondary education in a related field or a minimum of one year of experience in childcare, day camp, or a relevant area preferred
- Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Strong organizational skills with a personable and approachable demeanor.
- Availability on weekdays from June 23 to August 29, 2025.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a responsible and professional approach.
- Valid Standard First Aid, CPR Level C, and AED certifications.
- Clear criminal record, including Vulnerable Sector Search.

Rate of Pay: $18 per hour

The South Fish Creek Recreation Association (SFCRA), a non-profit entity overseeing operations at Cardel Rec South, a bustling community recreation hub. Our facility boasts four ice arenas, gymnasiums, eight versatile rental/program rooms, and an array of recreational programs. Committed to fostering a vibrant and inclusive environment, we are a proud partner in the South Fish Creek Complex, a collaborative venture integrating recreation, education, and library services.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 2 months

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
