Under the supervision of the Creative Education (CE) Supervisor, the Instructor is responsible for delivering lessons and leading campers through a variety of activities such as crafts, sports, and games. Additional responsibilities include the completion of required administrative duties and maintaining smooth, cooperative, and professional relations with staff, campers, and parents. Camp Instructors will also work closely with Camp Leaders and Volunteers. **These are casual positions ending August 29, 2025. The hours of work are between 7:00am - 6:00pm, Monday to Friday. Camp Instructors must be available for all 9 weeks of employment (June 30 - August 29, 2025) and orientation week (June 23-27, 2025).** All MRU Camps staff are required to provide the following at their own cost prior to commencement: - Police Information Check and Vulnerable Sector Search (valid within 1 year). - Standard First Aid (valid within 2 years) and CPR Level C (valid within 1 year). **Responsibilities**: - Plan, deliver and modify program lessons and activities. - Ensure safety, well-being and enjoyment of campers from ages 4 - 15 years old. - Make accommodations for campers with varying learning needs. - Work collaboratively with co-Leaders and Instructors to deliver daily programs. - Assist camp Leaders with recreational and classroom activities. - Supervise and coordinate lunchtime, before and after care. - Administrative tasks associated with the program including camper registration, incident reports, and attendance. - Attend staff orientation and any necessary staff meetings. - Communicate professionally with parents and guardians about their child’s experience at camp. **Qualifications**: - Experience working in a childcare/educational setting delivering lesson plans and curriculum (minimum 1 years). - Previous experience working or volunteering in camp related or recreational activities is an asset. - Previous experience with curriculum design and implementation is an asset. - The ability to work well in a team and individually. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills. - Previous experience in or a passion for Fine Arts, Theatre/Drama, and/or Film and Media production, and/or coaching/teaching. - Must be available for 40 hours per week (8 hours per day), Monday to Friday, June 30 - August 29, 2025. - Must be available for mandatory staff training June 23-27, 2025. **What We Offer**: Talented and committed employees are the driving force behind student success.
