- Conducts targeted account research in assigned territories to determine potential (Tour & Travel / SMERF)
- Proactively solicits and qualifies existing and new business to achieve personal and hotel revenue goals. This will be done through sales calls, trade shows, promotions, inquiries, telephone contacts and sales trips
- Respond to sales leads and client requests same day or within 24 hours
- Prepares and customizes proposals to meet client’s needs.
- Prepares and customizes contracts to meet client’s needs.
- Conducts sites/tours for clients.
- Develop own sales plan and strategy in order to meet or exceed revenue goals
- Develop a full working knowledge of the operations of the hotel, including Food and Beverage, Guest Services and Reservations
- Quote and negotiate prices within established parameters as directed
- Establish and maintains files, records, documentation and reports on all sales accounts
- Assist with special promotions, (sales blitz, customer events/parties, etc.).
- Prepare weekly production reports as required
- Maintain a positive attitude; be reliable and on-time for all activities
- Participate in training and any sales-related meetings as required
- Any other tasks as requested

**The qualifications for this position are as follows**:

- Recent hotel experience, with a min two years in a Sales department
- Knowledge of Niagara Falls Market
- Knowledge of Hotel Sales & Catering Software and Microsoft Office computer literacy preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication/presentation skills
- Established contacts in Receptive operators, Domestic and International FIT operators, and travel agencies required
- Strong negotiating skills, decision-making capabilities, resourcefulness to conduct independent research and gather information to fully understand your market and strong analytical skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize
- Excellent time-management skills and ability to multitask
- Ability to travel (mínimal)
- College diploma/University degree an asset
