**Role Responsibilities**:
Alberta Parks - Central Region is looking for an enthusiastic person who is an innovative problem solver with a passion for infrastructure management and preventative maintenance programs. As the Regional Infrastructure Maintenance Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensure the long-term functionality, ongoing accessibility, and safe operation of well over $700 million worth of infrastructure, facilities, and equipment located in numerous geographically dispersed across nearly 100 separate provincial parks and recreation areas within the Alberta Parks Central Region. You will work closely and collaboratively with the site-based teams responsible for the day-to-day operation of these provincial parks and recreation areas as well as a variety of contractors.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Development, implementation and ongoing improvements to the Asset Management strategy for the region.
- Determining effective preventative maintenance processes, frequencies, as well as planning, coordination and tracking actions for the preventative maintenance of the region’s assets.
- Coordinate the repository and filing of Maintenance and Operations Manuals, drawings and schematics for the regions assets and systems.
- Identifying Capital Maintenance and Renewal priorities to be moved forward for capital funding consideration in future fiscal years.
- Providing input into various facility and capital planning initiatives.
- Liaising and collaborating with project managers managing various capital development and/or renewal projects throughout the Region from planning and design to close out.
- Supports Regional Infrastructure Specialists in developing contract specifications and tender documents for the delivery of goods and contracted services to support implementation of preventative maintenance services.

**Qualifications**:
Two-year Technical Diploma in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental, or a related Engineering Technology field) plus four years of related experience in maintenance, infrastructure, or asset management experience; or equivalent as described below.
Equivalency: Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of one year of education for one year of experience or vice versa.
**Required**:
- Diploma in a related technical field (or equivalent education/experience).
- Five years of related maintenance or infrastructure management experience.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance and safety legislation.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
**Assets**:
- Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) or Project Management certification.
- Experience supervising contractors and managing contracts.
- Knowledge of water/wastewater legislation and building codes.
