**Seed Processing Technician**

Performance Seed, a locally owned forage seed company based in Lethbridge, Alberta, is seeking a reliable and motivated **Seed Processing Technician** to join our growing team. This role is key to ensuring our customers receive their seed orders safely, accurately, and on time.

**Location**
- Reporting to Lethbridge, AB

**Responsibilities**
- Assist in seed blending, bagging, and labeling.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Receive, inspect, and properly store incoming seed shipments.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for delivery or customer pickup.
- Organize and maintain inventory using proper labeling and storage methods.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and report discrepancies to the warehouse supervisor.
- Keep warehouse clean, orderly, and compliant with safety and cleanliness standards.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service to our customers and network.
- Load and unload seed bags, pallets, and other materials from the delivery vehicle with the use of pallet jacks.
- Safely operate company delivery vehicles to transport forage seed orders to customers and dealers.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, using GPS navigation when needed.
- Comply with transport Canada regulations and all safety standards during transportation.

**Position Details**
- Regular hours are 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday. During peak periods (e.g., seeding season), flexibility to work additional hours and overtime will be required to support operations.
- Pay range $18-25/hour, depending on experience.

**Qualifications & Attributes**
- Be on time via reliable transportation.
- Have a valid class 5 drivers’ licence with a clean drivers abstract.
- Ability to work late/overtime, as required.
- Ability to perform the physical tasks of the position (operating a pallet jack, lifting 55 lb bags routinely)
- Ability to perform basic math computations.
- Strong verbal, written communication, and listening skills.
- Ability to work well in a team setting or on their own, with no supervision.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, time sensitive, environment.
- Be a problem solver.
- Ability to take directions from a supervisor.
- Ability to keep their workstation/workplace tidy and assist in cleaning up where necessary.

Pay: $18.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
