Our team is growing quickly, and we are looking for a **Buyer** to support the **Director of Procurement**.

The **Buyer** will purchase materials and services while tracking purchases to ensure on time delivery of equipment and/or services, monitoring vendor quality, and maintaining a current database of vendor information and qualification. This position is responsible for preparing and reviewing complex, customized contracts. They will be responsible for the overall coordination and development of supply and subcontract agreements.

**Responsibilities**
- Independently manage RFQs/RFP process
- Ensure compliance to project budgets and provide analysis of deviations
- Research new materials and vendors for design and cost savings
- Develop and implement new purchasing strategies to deliver ongoing cost reductions and process simplification
- Communicate and negotiate with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients
- Maintain accurate and complete Purchasing records in accordance with record retention procedures
- Conducting vendor reviews and evaluation
- Perform other duties and special projects, as assigned by Director of Procurement

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent equivalent experience in purchasing or supply chain management experience in the construction business and/or solar industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence and ability to interact with people at all levels of the organization
- Computer literacy with an advanced knowledge in Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Ability to accurately describe and assess the status of a construction project and be ready to provide possible solutions when necessary
