**Job Type**:CASUAL

**Job Outline**:
The Buyer is responsible for all activities relating to the purchasing functions supporting the work of Hennick Bridgepoint Hospital such as purchasing supplies, services, and capital equipment, including those of a complex medical and/or technical nature, for all areas of Hennick Bridgepoint Hospital.

The Buyer makes purchases in a manner that best meets the needs of the organization, having regard to the requirements of the end user, financial and administrative obligations, and ongoing supplier relations and also conducts procurement activities, having regard to strategic, administrative and contractual obligations and purchase alliances.

**Education & Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Healthcare Supply Chain.
- Working towards SCMAO (Supply Chain Management Association of Ontario) - SCMAO-HSCN Healthcare Supply Chain Certification is preferred.
- Proficient in the use of computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Materials Management Software.
- Negotiating skills are preferred.
- Problem solving and critical-thinking skills are essential.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills are required.
