Our organization is a **community-based, non-profit society** providing independent housing for seniors and individuals with disabilities. We are seeking an **energetic, team-oriented Maintenance Technician** to join our team on a **part-time or full-time basis (24-35 hours per week).**

**Position Overview**

Reporting to the **Operations Coordinator**, the Maintenance Technician ensures the building’s **interior and exterior** are well-maintained through timely repairs and upkeep. This role also includes responding to **emergency maintenance calls** during work hours and participating in an **on-call evening rotation**.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Perform routine **maintenance and safety checks**.
- Complete **minor and major repairs** on buildings and equipment.
- Repair **doors, locks, closets,**:

- **Basic plumbing fixtures**.
- Maintain records of **scheduled maintenance procedures**.
- Respond promptly to **tenant maintenance requests**.
- Perform **basic landscaping and general upkeep** tasks.
- Assist with **other duties as assigned**.

**Qualifications & Requirements**
- **Previous maintenance or handyman experience** preferred.
- Physically capable of lifting **up to 75 lbs**.
- General knowledge of **plumbing, electrical, and mechanical repairs**.
- Proficiency with **hand and power tools, drywall repair, and painting**.
- Strong **communication, organizational, and customer service skills**.
- Ability to work **independently with mínimal supervision**.
- **Valid Class 5 driver’s license required**.
- Must be **legally eligible to work in Canada** and bondable.

**Job Details**
- **Job Type**: Part-time or full-time (24-35 hours/week), Permanent.
- **Schedule**: Day shift; on-call evening rotation.
