Incoming Quality Control Inspector

We are a small medical device manufacturer located in North York. We are looking for an Incoming QC Inspector to help screen / document non-conforming parts and assist in our compliance with ISO 9001 / ISO 13485 and EU’s Medical Device Regulations.

**Position**: Incoming QC Inspector
**Reports to**:Quality Assurance Manager
**Status**: Full-time position
**Salary**: Commensurate with experience

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform inbound inspection of mechanical parts using calipers, gauges and other devices
- Read, interpret and understand mechanical engineering drawings
- Inspect parts based on AQL table, generate reports as required
- Sort parts based on visual inspection and functionality
- Generate non-conformance reports for defective parts
- Coordinate with Supply Chain department for scheduling / expediting inspections
- Interpret and analyze statistical data to identify trends
- Ensure that all testing / measurement equipment are validated and calibrated
- Read and follow work instructions, work rules and directions
- Comply with all employee policies, QMS procedure and other company processes
- Coordinate with quality manager for hesitant issues
- Assist production staff with solving quality issues
- Uphold Quality standards as set by the company, ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 13485:2016
- Other duties as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Proficient at reading and understanding mechanical engineering drawings
- Experienced user of Microsoft Excel and Word
- Possess good communication skills - both verbal and written English
- Able to work in a fast paced and time-sensitive environment
- Positive attitude, self-motivated and result orientated
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities
- Great attention to detail - able to notice things that would normally slip by the eyes of others
- College diploma in Quality Control / Assurance or Mechanical Engineering Technology is preferred
- Work experience of 1-2 years in Quality Control / Assurance positions will be prioritized

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
