We are a small ISO-registered medical device manufacturer located in east Toronto. We are experiencing multiple years of double-digit sales growth and are looking for a self-motivated individual to join our dynamic team.
Position: Quality Control Inspector
Job Type: Full-time – Temporary / Months Contract Position with possibility of a permanent position by the end of the contract.
Schedule: Day shift Monday to Friday and willingness to work overtime
Salary Range: (20$- 22$)/hour + overtime
Work Location: In person - North York, Toronto, ON, Canada
Raz Design is looking for an experienced Quality Control Inspector who can join quality team and help maintain our compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 13485:2016 Standards and internal requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Job Duties:
Perform inbound inspection of mechanical parts using calipers, gauges, and other measuring devices.
Read, interpret, and understand mechanical engineering drawings.
Inspect parts based on AQL tables and generate required reports.
Sort parts based on visual inspection and functionality checks.
Generate non-conformance reports for defective parts and segregate them in the disposition area.
Check Returned Authorization (RA) parts or products and collaborate with customer service regarding them.
Perform functional and fit checks on components.
Interpret and analyze statistical data to identify quality trends.
Read and follow work instructions, work rules, and directions.
Comply with all employee policies, QMS procedures, and company processes.
Coordinate with the Quality and Regulatory Affairs (QRA) Manager for hesitant or ambiguous issues.
Qualifications and Competencies:
1–2 years of experience in the Quality field.
Able to read and understand engineering drawings and documents.
Mechanical background required; a Quality diploma is an asset.
Proficient in using measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
Sharp/Keen Eye for Detail.
Trained for the QMS system.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
Able to perform tasks diligently and with a sense of urgency.
Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
Good understanding of OSHA standards and company safety protocols.
Strong manual dexterity and ability to perform physical tasks (bending, lifting, carrying, pushing).
Ability to handle adverse situations and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 8 months
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
