**Position Title: Category Coordinator**
**Team and Location: Retail - Burlington, ON or Calgary, AB**
**Position Summary**:
The role of the Category Coordinator is to work with the Category Manager to execute the strategic marketing plan and maximize sales and revenue for Carwash, Online Delivery and Private Label categories. The Category Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating communications, conducting analysis, interfacing with vendors, administrating cost and price changes, executing promotions, the development planograms and assisting in the development of marketing strategies and special projects. The role requires close collaboration with a wide-range of stakeholders including vendors, retailers, territory managers, and other internal and external groups.
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and update weekly, monthly, & quarterly performance reports as required.
- Act as a category contact for Operations, assisting with the timely action and resolution of all matters pertaining to the category.
- Interface with vendors, wholesaler distributors and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate reporting, product delivery, and program execution.
- Prepare and distribute communications for stakeholders (Territory Managers, Retailers, Dealers).
- Assist in vendor meetings and negotiations.
- Manage new product listings, price changes, and automatic distributions to retail locations.
- Implement the category plan with the team to grow convenience store sales and margins.
- Develop store layouts and planograms.
- Conduct ad-hoc performance analysis in support of projects and management requests.
- Use Microsoft Excel and other software to analyze cost, pricing, and sales data; make recommendations aligned with the category strategy and business objectives.
- Support the launch of new products and innovation.
- Assist in the development of marketing strategies and special projects as required.
**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Degree in Business or Marketing would be an asset, but a relevant diploma and/or experience would also be considered.
- Grocery, Convenience, or Packaged Goods experience.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Time management and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical skills and aptitude in Microsoft Excel.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, resourceful and flexible.
- Bilingualism (French and English, oral and written) is strongly preferred.
