Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Material Coordinator to oversee the procurement, storage, and distribution of materials within our supply chain operations. This role involves coordinating with multiple departments to ensure seamless inventory management, procurement, and logistics processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, experience with warehouse management systems, and a solid understanding of supply chain management principles.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate record of raw material, work in process and finished goods inventory.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventory counts to ensure reconciliation and accuracy.
  • Ensure a safety level of stock to be maintained for raw materials and flag for purchase if requirements based on lead time.
  • Conduct routine quality inspections of all incoming shipments.
  • Conduct regular quality inspections for outgoing shipments and flag any concerns with the respective department/personnel.
  • Maintain a comprehensive Quality Control form for all incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Prepare, package, label, and stage all outgoing customer shipments in accordance with safety, quality and carrier requirements.
  • Liase with shipping companies to ensure that the shipment is collected as per details.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe receiving, shipping and inventory storage area.
  • Any ad-hoc requests from management.

Skills

  • A Bachelor's degree in a technical field (ex. Engineering).
  • Minimum of 2 years work experience as a logistics or quality control supervisor.
  • Experience with warehouse distribution, inventory management, procurement, sourcing, demand planning, and logistics operations.
  • Mechanical knowledge for equipment operation such as forklifts is a plus.
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement process improvements effectively.
  • Knowledge of transportation management including freight forwarding, NVOCC operations, shipping & receiving procedures.
  • Familiarity with categories such as procurement, pricing strategies, profit & loss analysis, e-commerce logistics, and supply chain analytics.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in materials handling and inventory control processes. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
