Scottsdale Veterinary Hospital is a busy privately owned, five-doctor, AAHA accredited, Fear Free and cat friendly hospital, located at the Surrey/North Delta border. Our hospital prides itself on serving our community, supporting the BC guide dogs, Paws for Hope and a selection of local police dogs. Our staff is an all-star team who support one another and the animals in our charge.
We are looking for a Hospital Receptionist to add to our growing team. The ideal receptionist is someone with the desire to learn and grow, who puts their heart and soul into their job to be of service to our very special patients while showing the utmost in compassion, care and dedication to customer service. You are enthusiastic, self-motivated, proactive, and keen to jump in wherever you are needed to be an integral member of our team. You recognize and understand ever-shifting priorities so you are able to contribute when and where the greatest needs arise.
Job description
Client care: Greeting and checking in clients and patients, and communicating in a warm and professional manner. Accurate and detailed invoices/receipts to clients and payment processing.
Record keeping: Taking detailed phone messages and maintaining up-to-date hard-copy and electronic files.
Time management: Prioritizing tasks and proactively managing priorities.
Office Maintenance: Maintaining hospital and office cleanliness to AAHA standards at all times.
Appointments: Booking appropriate time allowance for different patient needs. Making client calls, reminder calls and giving clients instructions on surgery and dental procedures.
Assisting: Many of our reception team members become cross trained so that they can help assist the technicians in times of need.
This position is typically 36 hours per week and will include Saturday shifts. At Scottsdale Veterinary Hospital we are dedicated to providing the utmost in patient care and customer service, upholding the highest practice standards, and expanding our knowledge through continuous learning.
Pay: $21.00-$24.00 per hour
