**Position Reporting To** - Manager, Account Payable

**Summary/Objective**

**Essential Functions for Cash Application /AR**
- Posting incoming receipts to customer ledger accounts.
- Preparing journal entries for bank charges and inter-company account transfers.
- Assisting with the closing the closing of the AR subledger at month-end/quarter end/year end.
- Assisting with the preparation of various cash/AR related reports to meet banking requirements.
- Responsible for timely preparation of month end close journal entries.
- Reconcile bank and intercompany accounts.
- Prepare accruals, adjustments, reconciling schedules and assist with month-end/year-end reporting.

**Essential Functions for AP/Inventory/GL**
- Receiving, verifying, and processing all invoices and performing day to day processing of payable transactions electronically and manually.
- Processing and reconciling Demurrage & Detention, Freight, and Duty invoices with vendors and customs for payment.
- Researching and resolving any discrepancies.
- Maintaining accurate records by performing customer/vendor account reconciliations.
- Preparing, posting and managing payments.
- Preparing POs for the Finance Department and training other departments on the PO workflow.
- Posting rebate invoices.
- Performing credit management and maintaining vendor accounts setup.
- Building and maintaining contact with customers and vendors.
- Preparing month end AP Aging reports.
- Preparing month end Demurrage & Detention reconciliation reports for management.
- Preparing inventory reconciliations.
- Preparing DIO and DPO calculations for all legal entities.
- Preparing consolidated monthly purchases reports from China, US, and other international vendors.
- Supporting the period-end closing process.
- Cross training to support other AP/AR/GL team functions.
- Assisting with reconciling GL and analyzing data for monthly reporting accuracy.
- Assisting with ad hoc strategic and operational projects as required.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Skills and Qualifications**
- Capable of working with peers and associates from other departments in a proactive and constructive manner.
- High integrity and ethical standards.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to establish priorities with little direction in a fast-paced environment.
- Deadline-drive with excellent time management ability.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and analysis.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- People oriented with the ability to establish a high degree of credibility with staff, clients and vendors.
- Ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members.

**Required Education and Experience**
- Post-secondary education in accounting or finance.
- Understanding of GAAP Accounting principles.
- 2-5 years’ Experience of full cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable for an organization.
- Strong experience in working in a Global multi-entity environment.
- Intermediate Excel skills (e.g. complex formulas, etc.)
- Experience using Dynamics NAV/Navision and SAP or a similar ERP system is an asset.

Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
