**Job Brief**
**Your Responsibilities**:
You will manage a multidisciplinary R&D team to deliver research, development, and innovation objectives on time and on budget by:
Project management:
- Developing, implementing, and ensuring adherence to project strategies, timelines, and budgets.
- Anticipating bottlenecks or risks and proactively proposing solutions and mitigation strategies.
- Ensuring high-quality and consistent reporting across the R&D team.
- Leading project reporting internally (for example, to project teams, the management team, etc.) and externally (for example, to grant agencies, government programs, etc.).
Team coordination & alignment:
- Acting as the conduit between the R&D team and senior management, enabling technical updates to impact strategic decision making, and company objectives to direct R&D efforts.
- Fostering collaborations across disciplines to drive innovative solutions to technical challenges.
- Driving a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and excellence within the team.
Innovation & Knowledge Management:
- Identifying, documenting, and tracking new innovations, trade secrets, and confidential know-how developed by the R&D team.

- Developing and overseeing compliance with health and safety best practices, internal SOPs, lab safety requirements, and relevant regulatory standards.
**Report to**:
The R&D Project Manager will report to the Chief Technology Officer.
**You are**:
You are a certified project manager with experience managing multidisciplinary research teams in an industrial setting.
You have:
- Valid PMP (Project Management Professional) certification, or equivalent recognized project management credential.
- At least five years’ experience managing interdisciplinary R&D teams in an industrial setting. Experience in climate technology, biotechnology, or chemical companies considered an asset.
- MSc or PhD in chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, or a related field and strong technical literacy in biochemistry and/or electrochemistry.
- Track record of managing complex, interdisciplinary projects, delivering objectives on time and on budget.
- Proven ability to lead and inspire a team of diverse technical experts, fostering innovation while keeping priorities on track.
- Demonstrated capacity to quickly learn new scientific and technical concepts, with experience managing projects that involve expertise outside of your own.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex scientific concepts for non-specialist stakeholders.
- Familiarity with intellectual property management.
- Familiarity with laboratory safety best practices and requirements.
Pay: $80,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
