**Purpose of the Role**:
As the R&D Coating Co-op you will work closely with the team to assist in all laboratory operations, preparing samples,
perform quality checks and maintain laboratory equipment.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**:

- You are pursuing post-secondary education in Chemistry, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- You have previous experience in a laboratory setting is a plus.
- You have knowledge of laboratory procedures, techniques, and safety practices.
- You are proficient in using laboratory equipment and tools.
- You have familiarity with data entry and laboratory management software.

**What Success looks like in this role**:

- You will assist the team in all laboratory operations and prepare the coater, set up the die, pumps, and tube connection, and help clean the equipment after use.
- You will maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and assist in ordering materials as needed.
- You will adhere to safety protocols and laboratory best practices to ensure a safe working environment.
- You will assist in the proper disposal of hazardous waste according to safety regulations and environmental guidelines.
- You will maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring it is clean, calibrated, and in good working condition.
- You'll conduct routine laboratory tests and experiments under the supervision of a Chemist or Senior Chemist.
