**Job Description**:
**Scope of Position**
- Ensure timely and accurate file processing while supporting exceptional customer service within the Ocean Import Department.

**Responsibilities**:

- Shipment Tracking and Tracing of Import Ocean shipments with strong attention to data entry/integrity & accuracy
- Overall Container tracking from Confirmed on Board to Container service completion at destination (inclusive of Rail and Vessel Tracking)
- Ensure that all work is completed per Expeditors Operational Process Standard (OPS) requirements.
- Complete all operational shipment event updates in line with Perfect Milestones Initiative and Ocean dashboard requirements
- Understand INCO Terms and their involvement in customer transactions
- Work with ocean Import team for ongoing development & deskside training
- Complete scanning & indexing of all Original BL’s prior to end of day
- Creation of transportation work orders (Delivery Communication with local drayage and/or Cartage providers
- Creation of release notes to local CFS locations
- Ability to analyze Customer and Expeditors data in order to fully understand, and display data to show a meaningful story or impact for customer engagement.

- Settlement Reconciliation with origin branches
- Cost Verification and Allocation
- Ocean Carrier Payables (timely and within credit terms)
- Billing to Customers - Timely upon service completion
- Review customer credit terms and submit credit extension requests where necessary

**_ Communications: _**
- phones are to be picked up within the department.
- ensure that any special instructions or requirements on a shipment are communicated effectively.

**Personal Development**
- Meet company standards of 52 hours training per year per employee.
- Attend training classes as required.
- Complete mandatory training as required.

**Qualifications**:

- 6 months to 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Understanding of ocean documentation process a plus.
- INCO terms knowledge considered an asset.
- Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results.
- Pro-active, strong organizational skills.
- Proficient computer skills (Excel, Word).
- Hazardous Materials certification (preferred).
- Fluent in English.
