We are currently looking for **Heavy Equipment Operators **to join our growing team
Reporting directly to the Site Supervisors, Heavy Equipment Operators will be responsible for performing construction tasks using heavy construction equipment.
The Forest Group uses a variety of heavy machinery to complete a wide range of construction projects. Applicants with experience in the use of the following machinery will be considered:
1. Asphalt Spreader
2. Asphalt Grinder
3. Asphalt Roller
4. Grader
5. Dozer
6. Excavator
7. Backhoe
8. Loader
9. Skid Steer
- **Additional responsibilities may include**:_
- Understanding and following directions from the site supervision/project management staff.
- Properly operating and maintaining vehicles/machines according to manufacturers specifications, including completing detailed daily inspections.
- Completing safety forms and adhering to all applicable safety laws and regulations.
- Ensuring the crew provides a high-quality product and finishes the job on time and according to job specifications.
- Minimum 2 years experience operating heavy construction machinery
- Experience in the construction industry with a willingness to learn
- Experience in asphalt paving and/or sewer & watermain projects is considered an asset
- Ability to multi task and work in a fast-paced environment
- A safety conscious demeanor and willingness to adhere to company safety policies, practices and procedures.
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as a part of a team
- Valid driver’s license
