**Property Maintenance Associate**
Family oriented, waterfront recreational community in Port Severn, Ontario,
With 245 Member and Leased sites is seeking a Property Maintenance Associate responsible for maintaining park infrastructure and Facilities
We are looking for a friendly, positive, service oriented and professional
individual with the ability to work flexible hours including weekends as
needed to support the operations of the association. This is a full time
seasonal position, with 4-month winter layoff Dec 1-Mar 30 annually with a
regular date of recall.

- The successful applicant will commence learning, understanding and
executing on the efficient managing of the Park’s resources and grounds.
- This role is considered a progressive position with the goal to learn the
Infrastructure and Maintenance of the association and progress to the Park
Maintenance Manager position.
- The successful applicant will initially report to the Chairperson of Park
Management and be part of the team working with the Park Superintendent.
- Prior residential property, maintenance management or facilities
management experience is desired.
Duties include:
- Maintain all common facilities and infrastructure in immaculate and safe
condition for maximum curb appeal and resident satisfaction. Plan and
perform timely proactive maintenance to extend the life of facilities and
equipment including community hall, shared recreational facilities, pools,
beaches, boat ramps and parks.
- Receive facilities requests, complete work orders and provide timely
documentation back to park office for close out and billing of any
facilities requests or work orders.
- Proactively tour the property daily and inspect all common infrastructure
to be in good, safe, operating condition and schedule maintenance as
required.
- Ensure that all equipment is maintained and kept in working order and
maintain equipment records. Manage and maintain a clean, organized safe
workshop.
- Ensure all required supplies are on hand and replace when needed
(inventory management of supplies).
- Support Park Maintenance Manager (Superintendent) with any building permit
questions or requests and fulfillment/closing of any open permits, and final
inspections.
- Assist with yearly planningQualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an apprenticeship or equivalent number of years' experience
and education in maintenance coordination.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in the operation and maintenance of buildings
equipment, facilities and/or recreational park areas.
- Highly flexible with solid interpersonal skills. Exhibit initiative, responsibility, flexibility and leadership.
- Must have attention to detail and strong communication skills both orally
and electronically. Be able to multi-task and establish priorities.
- Possess a thorough knowledge of office administration and office
procedures.
- Have knowledge of local, provincial, and federal workplace compliance
regulations and legislations.
- Must have a valid driver's license and clean drivers abstract.
- Ability to interpret and implement corporate policies and procedures.
- A working knowledge of basic electrical and plumbing.
- A working knowledge of the use of tractors with a backhoe considered an
asset.
- Knowledge of the safe handling of pool chemicals and pool maintenance.
- Current or willing to certify on:
- CPR/AED
- WHIMS certification
- Working at heights certification
- Must be in good physical condition and be prepared for manual work when
required.
- Be prepared for emergencies and extended work hours.
- Vulnerable sector check required.
Salary
$22 to $26 to start
4% vacation pay paid weekly.

37.5 to 40 hours per week
Rotating weekends
On call for after hours or emergencies.
