Pharmacy Assistants ensure the efficient functioning of the Pharmacy by providing customers with the best quality products, while being courteous with timely customer service. Within the compliance department assistants work with both facility & assisted living partners as well as community patients.

The target is to ensure excellent service standards, maintain high customer satisfaction and contribute to the growth and success of Janzen’s Pharmacy.

Medical office administration experience or education considered an asset.

**Primary Responsibilities**
- Communicating with prescribers & health care providers
- Preparing paperwork & Compliance Packs for Pharmacist review
- Maintaining computerized lists of medications taken by patients and ensuring confidentiality of client records and information
- Maintaining appropriate client agreements and paperwork
- Effectively manage large amounts of incoming calls from our customers on issues related to benefit eligibility questions and prescription status inquiries

**Additional Responsibilities**
- Filling medication orders including measuring, mixing, packaging and labeling
- Receiving written prescriptions and inputting prescriptions into the computer system
- Assist clients in navigating the many Janzen’s Pharmacy services
- Operating a cash register
- Receiving and sending electronic communications
- Identify issues and communicate solutions and steps to customers with prescription orders and reorders
- Ask appropriate questions and listen actively to identify any questions or issues while documenting required information
- Adhere to company operating policies and procedures.

- Ability to concentrate while performing routine tasks
- Good observation skills
- Ability to follow instructions
- Proven customer support experience
- Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
- Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of customers
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Ability to work regularly scheduled shifts within our hours of operation
- Ability to work independently and as a team player
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced professional environment
