E.C.M. Machines is an innovative company specializing in the design and build of custom machinery and automation systems. Our team works hands-on to bring creative mechanical solutions to life. We’re currently looking for a driven and detail-oriented **Custom Machine Builder** to join our growing team.

**Position Overview**:
As a Custom Machine Builder, you will be responsible for assembling, modifying, and fabricating custom machinery to client specifications. You will work closely with engineers and other technicians to build and test equipment. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with a mechanical mindset and foundational skills in machining and welding.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assemble mechanical systems and components from drawings or verbal instructions
- Perform basic machining tasks such as drilling, tapping, grinding, or cutting
- Conduct basic MIG and/or TIG welding as required
- Install pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical drive systems
- Support troubleshooting and testing of custom machinery
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Collaborate with the design and engineering team for improvements or modifications

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 1 years of relevant experience in machine building or mechanical assembly
- Basic machining skills (manual mill/lathe experience is an asset)
- Basic welding experience (MIG or TIG)
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Tube or wire bending experience is a strong asset
- Ability to work independently or in a team setting
- Good communication and problem-solving skills

**Preferred But Not Required**:

- Experience with custom automation or prototype machinery
- Electrical panel wiring or PLC familiarity
- Forklift or crane operation certification

Pay: $20.00-$36.77 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
