- ** Source and solve problems**:Help identify operational or procedural gaps and provide recommendations for improvement.
- ** Attend to details**:Process and analyze documents with a keen eye for Know Your Customer (KYC) and process management.

**What you'll bring to the team**:

- ** Tools/platform experience**: Sourcing and using relevant third-party industry risk management tools such as Lexis / Nexis, G2, EverCompliant, Thompson-Reuters, etc.
- ** Financial know-how**: Reading and reviewing financial statements, and being able to interpret balance sheets and forecasts for internal and external stakeholders.
- ** Expertise in the fine print**: Knowledge of United States treasury rules related to AML, KYC, and OFAC / sanctions screening, NACHA rules, and underwriting qualifications for ACH transactions.
- ** Payments familiarity**: Basic understanding of PCI DSS and card brand rules (VISA, MasterCard, and AMEX), along with relevant processor and sponsor bank exposure.
- ** Integrity**: Ability to work in a highly regulated industry; with strict adherence to customer privacy, regulatory requirements, and the highest ethical standards.
- ** Communication**:Able to adapt to your audience to convey complex ideas in a clear way.
- ** Ownership**: Naturally curious and driven to own the many responsibilities of an underwriter.
- 2+ years of experience in credit underwriting; preferably with a business-to-business (b2b) payment industry focusing on enterprise level clients
