Biology Tutor

**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Deliver one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions in biology.
- Teach core biology topics such as cell biology, genetics, evolution, anatomy & physiology, ecology, and molecular biology.
- Assist students with homework, projects, lab reports, and test preparation.
- Customize lesson plans based on individual student needs and learning styles.
- Use engaging teaching methods and real-life examples to enhance understanding.
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to students and/or parents.
- Stay updated with school curricula, exam requirements (e.g., AP, IB, SAT, ACT), and scientific developments.
- Encourage critical thinking, scientific inquiry, and academic confidence.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Life Sciences, Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Prior tutoring or teaching experience in biology.
- Strong knowledge of biological concepts and ability to explain them clearly.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine interest in student success.
- Familiarity with digital tools and online platforms (for remote instruction).
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Experience with AP Biology, IB Biology, or standardized test prep (e.g., SAT Biology Subject Test).
- Teaching credential or tutoring certification.
- Experience with lab-based teaching or virtual science labs.
**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
