**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Chair, ADZ School of Construction Management, the incumbent acts as the first point of contact for students, potential students, and alumni, in the ADZ School Construction Management, and provides a full range of services which include: assessing the qualifications and interests of prospective and current students and with the assistance of program coordinators, advising them on appropriate programs or delivery options and admissions procedures, resolving timetabling conflicts, referring students to internal departments.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Serves as first contact for the CCET School, including current students, former students, alumni, and general inquiries.
- Assesses the qualifications and interests of prospective and current students and with the assistance of program coordinators, advising them on appropriate programs or delivery options and admissions procedures; adding/dropping of courses, transferring of programs, processing advanced standing requests, exemptions, course substitutions/ equivalencies; referring students to the program coordinator as appropriate.
- Assists in resolving student timetable conflicts by amending timetable issues, setting up special timetables, working with program coordinators to identify options for students.
- Liaises and provides students with appropriate referrals to/with internal departments.
- Updates, maintains, and disseminates Curriculum Planners (pathways) and CAPP (curriculum advising and programming planning) to stakeholders and assisting in marketing and promotion of programs.
- Assists with preparation and dissemination of Academic Curriculum Planner (pathway) and CAPP (Curriculum, Advising and Program Planning) reports and information to various stakeholders.
- Anticipates and plans for deadlines and timelines regarding variables such as student intakes.
- Preparing and updating student handbooks and delivery to students during start-up.
- Conducts telephone calls during start up, including confidential calls to students in foundation level courses whose student accounts are on hold (e.g. students who may have failed the previous semester, who have special timetable requirements or who mistakenly thought they were admitted to a program), conducts telephone calls to all first semester students all under the Student Success Program.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Educational and Experience Requirements**:

- Three-year degree/diploma or equivalent from a recognized post-secondary institution in Business Administration, Office Administration, Database Management.
- Minimum three (3) years experience gained as a team player in an office environment using a variety of computer software packages such as MS Office and Student Information System databases (SIS, Banner, Stu-view, Degree Works).

**Skills and Attributes:
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Ability to establish priorities and make decisions within prescribed boundaries.
- Solid interpersonal, customer service and organizational skills to liaise with people at all levels from executives in technology companies to entry-level students.
- Ability to manage numerous complex and demanding tasks and to meet strict deadlines.
- Adaptability to work in a technical environment in which technical terminology is frequently used.
- Discretion, sound judgement and a commitment to preserving strict confidentiality.
- Demonstrated commitment to uphold the College’s priorities on diversity and equity.
- Ability to lift between 20 kg or 44 lbs (i.e., carrying boxes of accounting records for archiving and filing).

**Interview process may consist of a practical skills component.**
