**Responsibilities**:
SUMMARY:
The Workplace Technology Analyst is responsible for design, implementation and advanced technical support of computing device management and the platforms used to manage corporate & personal computing devices, such as but not limited to desktops, mobile phones, tablets, servers, appliances, and IOT devices.
Performs the role of technical lead for computing device management and device management platform projects. Monitors and maintains computing device management and device management platform performance, security, optimization, and efficiency.
Coordinates Change Management for the computing device management and device management platforms.
Provides resolution support for all escalated computing device management and device management platform related operational issues and service requests.
Provides expertise and assistance to Business Technology Services (BTS) staff concerning computing device management and device management platform infrastructure requirements.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Performs the role of a technical lead for computing device management and device management platforms and maximize operational efficiency by:
a. liaising with peers, stakeholders, customers, and industry experts at all levels to understand computing device management and device management platforms’ related needs, challenges, and future industry trends to achieve increased business value.
b. maintaining technical currency by researching market trends on technological advances and industry standards, researching solutions to issues and technical challenges, researching functionality, specifications, and capabilities of current and planned computing devices and device management platforms.
c. contributing to the development of the computing device and device management roadmap.
d. researching, recommending, testing, and implementing opportunities to achieve greater efficiency with computing device management through opportunities such as increased automation or use of cloud technologies.
e. designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting computing device management customer self-service features and functions.
f. building and validating software deployment packages for use by other technology support roles in provisioning services to customers.
2. Performs technical support for computing device management and device management platform projects by
c. building and maintaining a list of peers, stakeholders, and customers that will act as pilot users as required.
d. providing formal and informal training to BTS staff concerning functionality of technology utilized for computing device management.
e. preparing summary reports and maintaining statistics and documentation for new computing device management platform features and new device deployments.
3. Monitors and maintains computing device management and device management platform performance, security, optimization, and efficiency by:
a. Evaluating, recommending, and deploying end device and device management platform modifications and upgrades to ensure security, availability, and maximize operational efficiency.
b. installing and maintaining computing device management and device management platform security related software; identifying security related violations, liase with information security to determine appropriate remediation approach, and reporting to leadership to determine action.
c. maintaining computing device management platform infrastructure in a state of good repair. Evaluate and deploy upgrades as required to maintain performance, stability, and security.
d. ensuring backups are created and maintained for computing device configurations and device management platforms.
e. creating, maintaining, and updating configuration and support documentation to ensure it accurately reflects current state.
4. Provides resolution support for all escalated computing device management and device management platform related operational issues and service requests
