Based in Ajax, Ontario CRSC builds innovative, industry-leading data centres for a wide variety of clients. We are the leader in data centre conceptual design, build and maintenance, providing data centre solutions that allow organizations to enhance their efficiency and operational capacity.

Our Field Service Technicians provide professional technical services to clients by ensuring smooth operation and maintenance of equipment/electrical systems in facilities comprised of computer room air conditioning equipment, UPS battery systems and distribution equipment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for service excellence and account management within an assigned territory
- Perform preventative mechanical and/or electrical maintenance for equipment on the power stream including UPS, battery systems and distribution equipment.
- Ability to quickly and effectively troubleshoot to diagnose mechanical and /or electrical systems failures to resolve/mitigate interruption in services
- Share weekly rotation responsibilities for 24/7 emergency on call service
- Directs subcontractors for emergency service calls
- Start-up and commissioning of equipment
- Generate Work Orders and Field Service Reports for all customer activities
- Organize and perform battery replacements
- Build power distribution cables
- Generate new and upgrade opportunities when appropriate
- Weekly and monthly generator inspections

**Qualifications**:

- Technician/Technologist program Certification or recent apprenticeship in a mechanical/electrical trade
- 2-3 years’ experience in electronics field an asset
- Must be willing to work overtime and share on call responsibilities
- Experience operating and controlling large, complex electrical and mechanical systems
- Ability to resolve both routine and non-routine issues.
- Attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to multi-task
- Ability to work in a team-based environment with other technical professionals
- Strong mechanical aptitude and general knowledge of electric systems and components
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Working knowledge of electrical/mechanical measurement and hand tools
- Must have a Valid Ontario driver’s license

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $26.00-$38.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- electrical systems: 2 years (preferred)
- equipment maintenance: 2 years (preferred)
- UPS: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Ontario Drivers License (required)
