**Position Overview**
The Systems Administrator I is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software and related infrastructure. This individual participates in technical research to assist with the delivery and ongoing support of innovation within the infrastructure environment. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational standards, controls and best practices according to industry standards.
**Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)**:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Strong leadership with the ability to drive projects
- Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure
- Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems and system management tools
- Ability to develop and document support solutions using diagrams, written descriptions, and presentations, with ability to communicate and present results to peers and leaders
- Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
- Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
- Participate in the design of information and operational support systems
- Strong knowledge and operational experience of server technologies including Windows Server, Active Directory, O365, Azure and Group Policy.
- Strong PowerShell experience specific to automation and Active Directory
- XenApp configuration, Server Provisioning, and hypervisor and management experience (VMware Hyper-V)
- Provide 2nd and 3rd level support
- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
- On-call rotation
- Maintain a professional demeanor at all times while representing the company
- Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required
- Other duties as assigned
**Qualifications**:
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other related area or equivalent experience.
- 4 to 6 years Microsoft systems administration experience.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory
- 2 to 3 years’ experience with Microsoft Clustering
- 4 years of Windows Server 2012/2019
- 3 years of VMware - build, configure, administer, and monitor
- 2+ years of experience with Enterprise storage solutions
Work Requirements
- Must be 18 years in age or older.
- Report to the office dressed appropriately and ready to begin work at the designated start time.
- Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Willingness to work independently within in a team environment and assist the team with other duties as required
- Ability to travel up to 10% as required by business needs
- On-Call Schedule
Knowledge/Skill Requirements
- Demonstrate a hands-on, collaborative approach; works well in a team.
- Demonstrates strong oral / written communication and listening skills.
- Strong action orientation, drive for results and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
