Labour Relations

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
Responsible for high-level administrative support to the Labour Relations and Faculty Affairs teams including the Director, Academic Labour Relations; the Manager, Faculty Affairs; the Deputy Provost’s Executive Assistant.
**Qualifications**:
**The incumbent must possess the following qualifications**:
- Knowledge of office administration policies, procedures, and processes
- Knowledge of collective agreements and labour relations policies, procedures, and processes.
- Knowledge of FIPPA
- Familiarity with the academic environment
- Knowledge of office productivity software and databases, internet browsers and search engines, discipline-specific software, enterprise software, and technology devices
- Excellent knowledge of administrative and general office procedures
- Record keeping, filing, and database management skills are essential
- Strong communication skills, including strong writing skills for accurate and precise notetaking (such as meeting minutes); both oral and written are required
- A high degree of attention to detail is required
- Good research skills with ability to generate succinct summaries from varied and complex data sources are required and an appreciation of academic labour relations principles with a general understanding of related materials (e.g., collective agreements, arbitration awards, settlements
- Strong organizational skills
**Education and Experience**:
**The above is normally acquired through the completion of**:
- Completion of Undergraduate university degree
- Minimum of four years of previous administrative experience
- Previous experience in Human Resources is an asset
