Treasury Intern

The Treasury team is seeking a **Treasury intern** to join us for the Spring/Summer term (May to August). Working collaboratively with the Treasury team, you will assist with the day-to-day and focus on team projects. At this time, we are only hiring students who reside in BC and are enrolled in a BC institution.

This competitively rewarded role will enjoy hybrid working arrangements which can be fulfilled primarily from the Vancity head office location and your Lower Mainland based home office. In this role, you will report into the VP, Treasury, and work closely with the Treasury team.

**A typical day would involve**:

- Communicate and advise in a timely way the daily to monthly treasury account requirements including reporting.
- Perform administrative functions including timely transaction processing and document control in support of Manager's accountabilities as needed.
- Analyze system reports and records, identify, and resolve discrepancies so that records are accurate and complete.
- Develop and maintain PowerBI reports for treasury models
- Perform bond issuer security analysis.
- Automating & streamlining Excel worksheets used for financial analysis, investment management, or other treasury reporting.

**You have**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or other relevant fields
- Good presentation skills, able to organize information and present analytical results in an efficient manner
- Experience utilizing PowerBI
- Process improvement mindset
- Analytical skills, breaking down complex information and identifying key points for consideration.
