Reporting to Director of Sales, we are currently seeking an exceptional Sales Development Representative to join our team at Redwood Plastics and Rubber. In this role, you will work alongside two experienced Sales Development professionals to reverse engineer our ideal customer profile and build a prospect list. Your primary responsibility will be proactively growing our customer base and managing sales territories across North America, either by directly working in unmanned areas or through collaboration with our outside sales team in territories manned by an outside sales representative.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Utilize prospecting and analytics software provided by Redwood to research and understand our ideal customer type.
- Generate prospect lists for remote unmanned territories and territories staffed by the outside sales team.
- Collaborate with the outside sales team to convert prospects into customers, working synergistically or independently for remote territories.
- Drive customer base growth by actively bringing in new customers.
- Manage a territory of 20 Western US states with support from two sales locations and five outside salespeople.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date customer data entry and updates in the corporate database.
- Domestic travel required occasionally (as needed).

**SKILLS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE**
- Minimum of 2-3 years of direct work experience in sales or telesales capacity.
- Demonstrated high level of integrity and work ethic.
- Experience with customer relationship management software is preferred.
- A confident self-starter with strong business acumen.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Exceptional active listening, verbal, written communication, and presentation skills suitable for engaging with business professionals at various levels.
- High energy and enthusiasm in engaging with customers and prospects.
- Proficiency in basic calculations and mathematical figures.
- Willingness to occasionally travel and attend sales events or exhibits.
- Strong research skills, as well as proficiency in social media platforms like Google and LinkedIn.
- Mechanical or technical background, along with knowledge of resource-based industries, is advantageous.
