**THE ROLE**
The Groundsperson is responsible for maintaining greens, tee box areas, turf on fairways, sand traps and rough or other areas of the golf course property using powered and manual equipment. They perform basic horticultural duties such as planting trees, shrubs, and flowers, and maintaining and creating flowerbeds. The Groundsperson spreads topsoil, lays sod, plants flowers, grass, shrubs and trees and other duties to assist with the construction of a landscape and related structures. They also repair and maintain course buildings, structures and accessories, such as fences, benches and stakes.

**QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED** Education, Certifications and Licenses**

High school diploma WITH several years experience in a related field

OR

An acceptable combination of education, training, and experience

AND

Current CPR and Basic First Aid qualifications
Valid Driver’s License (Alberta)

**Experience**

In grounds maintenance
In outdoor facilities and equipment maintenance

Knowledge of the rules and strategies of the game of golf, an asset

**LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS**
English Essential / Bilingual an asset
