**Overview**

This position is a one-year maternity leave coverage, offering a valuable opportunity to gain experience within our team. The anticipated start date is December 1, 2025. There is potential for the role to transition into a longer-term position.

**Duties**
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes.
- Manage front desk operations, including answering phone calls and responding to inquiries.
- Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar efficiently.
- Collect patient information and verify insurance details.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their appointments and any necessary documentation.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) using systems such as Avros
- Assist in managing office supplies and inventory.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Support healthcare providers by preparing patient charts and assisting during examinations as needed.
- Basic clinical skills, such as measuring patient blood pressure/temperature/etc. (you do not need to have experience with this prior to starting)
- Cleaning/turning over examination rooms after patient visits.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a medical office or as a dental receptionist is preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology is essential.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems; experience with Avoros is a plus.
- Clerical proficiency for accurate record keeping and data entry tasks.
- Excellent administrative skills, including familiarity with phone systems and office procedures.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks for managing office finances is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- A compassionate demeanor with a focus on providing excellent patient care.
