Job Description: The Medical Office Assistant will be responsible for performing administrative tasks in the medical office. Duties include answering phones, greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and maintaining patient files.

The Medical Office Assistant will work closely with the doctors and patients to ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed and patients are informed of any changes.

This position requires a person who can multi-task, has excellent communication skills, and is able to work independently.

Some key qualities include: empathy, flexibility, adaptability, and problem solving skills.

Other requirements include:

- Telus PS Suite EMR trained
- Triaging patients on a daily basis can include taking vitals, measurements weights for adults and paediatrics
- Processing referrals and requisitions
- Excellent communication skills
- Coordinating consultations and tracking referrals
- Good computer skills
- Booking patient appointments
- Answering phones to assist patients along with faxing and scanning documents
- Ability to maintain standards of patient privacy and confidentiality
- Ability to work within a team and multitask
- Ability to administer adult and pediatric injections

**Salary**: $18.50-$21.00 per hour
