Position**:Marketing and Media Coordinator**
Location: Kitchener, ON
Base Salary Range: $50k - $60k Annual Salary, depending on experience and qualifications.

Overview

We are also the founders of a community-based energy investment vehicle. The CED Co-op allows all Ontarians to invest and take part in building solutions to combat climate change. The Co-op has raised over $24 million in investments from its 800+ members, on its way to developing a portfolio of over $45 million of renewable energy projects. We are proud that CED Co-op is the first co-operative in Canada to become a public corporation, enabling these investments to be held in RRSP, RESP, TFSA and RRIF investment portfolios. Future projects under development for the Co-op include community-based net-metering and potentially building efficiency projects such as geo-thermal heating and cooling, EV charging-as-a-service plus many more areas of opportunity.

VCT Group is growing. Leading the implementation of social media and marketing strategies, the Marketing and Media Coordinator will manage the public face and communications of VCT through social media, events and public relations. This position involves working out of our Kitchener office under the direction of the Business Development Manager. Specific responsibilities include:

- Conduct research to analyze customers’ behavior (e.g. purchasing habits, trends and preferences)
- Design and implement successful social media strategies and marketing campaigns, outlining budgets
- Set up tracking systems for online marketing activities, setting specific objectives and reporting on ROI
- Monitor SEO and web traffic metrics, analyzing and comparing to identified competitors
- Craft clear product marketing copy and collaborate with marketing team on promotional materials
- Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content per schedule (original text, photos, videos and news)
- Organize promotional activities for new products/services including PR and tradeshow events
- Oversee social media accounts’ design and strategy
- Prepare (monthly, quarterly and annual) forecasts and report on results by collecting and analyzing sales data

**Required Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in a related publishing, marketing or communications related field.
- 3+ Years of experience in social media, marketing coordination or reasonably related field.
- Hands on experience in content management.
- Solid knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics.
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization, including executives.
- Strong organizational, problem solving, time management, and adaptability skills.
- Ability to identify problems and develop multiple creative alternatives for problem resolution.
- Able to work independently with tight timelines in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated attention to detail, word selection, customer care, and superior quality of work

**Additional Skills, Abilities and Qualifications that would be an asset**:

- Experience with or understanding of renewable energy and sustainability industry.
- Experience working with consulting engineering, architecture or property management industries.
- Experience with or understanding of web platforms and design tools.
- Experience with research methods using data analytics software.
- Experience with coordination of tradeshows, speaking engagements and events management
