**Primary Purpose**
The Administrative Coordinator reports to the Managing Director and provides communications and administrative support for the Intact Centre on Climate Adaptation. The Coordinator is responsible for implementing the Centre’s digital communication strategies, promoting research outputs and events, and coordinating administrative tasks that support team operations. The Coordinator will play a key role in enhancing the visibility of the Intact Centre by producing compelling content across digital, print, and in-person formats, supporting media outreach, and strengthening the Centre’s public profile and brand. This includes developing strategic communications that translate technical findings into accessible messages for government, media, and the public. This role is critical to maintaining the Centre’s national presence, professional image, and operational efficiency. The Coordinator will serve as a point of contact for the Intact Centre and will serve as liaison between the centre, the Faculty of Environment, and Media Relations.
**Key Accountabilities**
**Communications**
- Lead development of professional, engaging content for social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram) and weekly newsletters (MailChimp)
- Maintain and update the Intact Centre website using WordPress
- Monitor and analyze web and social media engagement using Google Analytics
- Support the promotion and dissemination of new research publications, webinars, and events
- Draft and edit written content for reports, announcements, presentations, and media materials
- Contribute to the development of quarterly and annual reports
- Works with Managing Director, Climate Science on quarterly and annual reports
**Administration**
- Book meetings, take meeting minutes, and coordinate internal schedules and shared calendars
- Supports event planning and coordination for conferences, committee meetings, workshops, seminars, public events
- Balance deadlines and responsibilities while accommodating multiple interruptions to deal with a wide range of questions and issues as they arise
**Required Qualifications**
**Education**
- Post-secondary education or equivalent combination of education and experience required
**Experience**
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in writing, editing and creating content for social media.
- Minimum 2 years administrative experience ideally in a research environment
- Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook),
**Knowledge/Skills/Abilities**
- Working knowledge of LinkedIn, Instagram, MailChimp, Google Analytics, Canva
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, SharePoint)
- Attention to detail and emphasis on quality
- Effective time management skills in a fast-paced work environment
- Ability to adjust to shifting priorities
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Self-motivated and takes initiative
- Knowledge of climate change impacts and adaptation an asset
