London, Canada All Terrain Property Maintenance Full time

We are seeking a skilled **Salt Truck Operator**forsnow and ice removal season. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a salt truck to ensure roadways, parking lots, and commercial properties are treated efficiently during and after snowstorms as well as intermittent maintenance. The position demands a high degree of flexibility and reliability to ensure public safety during winter conditions.

As a Salt Truck Operator you will be responsible for the following:

- Perform daily Circle Checks in accordance with Ministry of Transportation Schedule 1, reporting any defects or needed repair
- Operate equipment with knowledge of maintenance requirements and report any malfunctions and repairs needed
- Ensure all equipment is cleaned, maintained and refueled as needed
- Adhere to dispatch instructions and effectively communicate with both dispatch and team members to respond to urgent needs and coordinate tasks in various weather conditions.
- Adhere to all Health & Safety requirements and policies, including wearing appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
- Use time tracking app to log hours and maintain accurate service records
- Maintain communication with the office as necessary for updates or reporting

**Requirements**:

- Valid G-class driver’s license
- Clean driver’s abstract
- Moderate knowledge of basic equipment (e.g., snow removal tools)
- Smartphone for logging tasks and communication
- Ability to operate equipment in cold, wet, and noisy environments for extended periods
- Ability to work on-call during snow events, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Reliable transportation to dispatch yard as public transportation may not be available during working hours

Pay: $26.00-$30.00 per hour
