CMLS Financial is looking for a Tax Administrator to join our team The Tax Administrator is responsible to perform tax payment and administrative functions**, **working with Canada-wide municipalities and internal partners to fulfill our customers everyday tax needs.

**In this role, you will**:

- Maintain a thorough knowledge of mortgage services and processes related to taxes
- Support inbound and outbound calls in response to customer inquiries
- Ensure customer satisfaction by processing tax related transactions quickly, accurately, and with high quality
- Action municipality payments (installment/final billings) on time, and within adhere to municipality guidelines
- Ensures documentation and internal policy/procedure are followed, and capture detailed notes in customer files
- Work with customers to resolve shortfall or tax arrears; track and follow up as applicable
- Demonstrate professionalism, judgment, and integrity
- Resolve escalations, errors, and day to day challenges related to department responsibilities (escalate to manager as needed)
- Collaborates with internal departments and external partners (including tax municipalities, mortgage insurers, brokers) to support daily operations
- Make recommendations on best practices and opportunities to improve internal processes and procedures
- Protect private and confidential information

**This role is for you if you have**:

- Residential mortgage/tax administration experience is an asset
- Bilingual is preferred and an asset
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in business an asset
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Strong interpersonal relationship building and listening skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- High attention to detail
- A proactive mindset, can take initiative and can work independently
- Experience in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
