Police check and TB testing required. Will consider applicants with extensive restaurant experience
- _**DUTIES**_include: Prepping and preparing all meal items as outlined in 3 week cyclic menu, including texture modifications - general sanitation of cooks area
- garbage removal, light sweeping/mopping; receiving and putting away food deliveries,
- Must be able to read, write and accurately follow written and verbal instructions.
- Must have reliable transportation (no _public _transportation offered)
- Must demonstrate proper food preparation and presentation for a variety of cultural preferences.
- Must be knowledgeable about the Long-Term Care Act
- Must be knowledgeable of special, therapeutic, and texture modified diets
- Must be physically able to lift and transfer heavy, hot items and stand for majority of shift.
- Must be able to work accurately, quickly, and safely.
- Must be an effective team player that works well with others.
- Must be able to work and communicate effectively

Shifts are blend of 6:30am-2:30pm and/or 10am-6pm, plus call ins for sick/vacation, etc; every other weekend off

Union Benefits and Pension if the criteria is met

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From $21.52 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 30 per week

- Large Production Cooking: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Public Health Food Handler Certificate (required)
- Cook/Culinary Management/Red Seal papers (any) (preferred)
