Under the direct supervision of our Corporate Controller, we are in search of a seasoned accountant and payroll administrator to take on the role of Assistant Controller. This role will entail full cycle accounting, payroll and assisting in the integration and migration of new accounting softwares as necessary. Extensive experience in Quickbooks, particularly running payroll is required.

WHAT YOU'LL BE EXPECTED TO DO:_**
- Oversee payroll processing using QuickBooks, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
- Stay updated on payroll regulations in various countries and provinces to ensure compliance.
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements for internal and external stakeholders.
- Generate reports to provide insights into financial performance and key metrics.
- Collaborate with different departments to gather financial data and support decision-making processes.
- Assist in migrating data from QuickBooks to the new accounting system and ensure a smooth transition.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Stay informed about tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements in all relevant jurisdictions.
- Collaborate in the development and monitoring of budgets, providing insights into financial forecasts.
- Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate and efficient financial operations
- Provide training and support to staff regarding changes in accounting processes and software.
- Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement in financial and accounting procedures.
- Manage accounting processes for multiple currencies, considering exchange rate fluctuations
- Contribute to the development of the company's long-term financial strategy.

**_ WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:_**
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in full cycle accounting and payroll.
- Deep understanding of accounting and payroll functions and processes.
- Extensive knowledge and experience on Quickbooks, and running payroll through Quickbooks.
- Studies in accounting or a related field, an important asset.
- Exceptional English verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders within the organization.
- Must be highly detail-oriented, capable of quickly assessing and adapting to new environments and challenges.
- Practical problem-solving skills to address real-world implementation issues.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English is considered a valuable asset.
