We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time temporary Finance Analyst to join our Finance team in Langley, BC.

This temporary position is expected to last 12 months.

You will be responsible for:
- Coordinating large Excel based datasets to analyze and identify trends, patterns, and metrics.- Ensuring financial statements are complete and accurate and preparing journal entries as required and resolving any related issues.- Researching and commenting on financial statement variances (period, quarter, and/or annual basis). Identifying abnormalities or trends that may exist.- Assisting supply chain operations and merchandising departments with identification and resolution of business issues, measurement of performance and preparation of budgets.- Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.- Documenting and evaluating the effectiveness of business processes and controls.- Assessing opportunities for business or system process improvements/efficiencies.- Assisting with special projects and ad hoc analysis as required.

You have:
- At minimum, attained a senior level towards completion of CPA designation, or newly qualified CPA/CGA/CMA.- 3 - 5 years financial accounting or auditing experience, ideally within a retail environment.- Advanced level knowledge of Microsoft Excel.- Experience with Power BI considered an asset.- Database knowledge and query development considered an asset.- Previous full cycle accounting experience considered an asset.

- Able to review financial information with a curious mind to trouble-shoot and prepare meaningful analysis.- Able to utilize Excel short cuts and formulas for efficient processing of and finding connections in large datasets.- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.- An engaging contributor who enjoys working in a collaborative, team-based environment.- Organized with strong ability to self-manage.- An excellent communicator - both oral and written.- Interested in and able to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Compensation Details:
$70,110.00 - $87,638.00

The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
