**Summary**
**Responsibilities**
Website Design System
o Review our existing website design system and ensure it adheres to website usability best practices (typography, colour, spacing, design elements, hierarchy, depth, interactions, motion etc.).
o Conduct user research and review available data sources to ensure the website design system evolves to effectively meet the needs of our customers and aligns with our brand style guide.
o Partner with cross functional teams in ensuring the website design system is being utilized as intended.
o Eliminate any usability inconsistencies on the website that conflict with the website design system.
o Create and manage a website design system roadmap to track future changes. Work closely with the eCommerce Development Team to implement website design system roadmap deliverables. This includes evolving our CMS toolset and library of reusable components that non-technical users can leverage to setup new webpages without violating our website design system.
Wireframe and Graphic Design Support
o Work closely with both the eCommerce and Marketing Teams (BC and AB), produce high quality wireframes in Figma that meet the business requirements provided as well as usability best practices.
o Ensure wireframes can be easily implemented by the eCommerce Development Team.
o Assist Marketing with the production of banner assets as needed.
o Provide content recommendations for new wireframe designs.
o Act as a UX thought leader in cross functional tactical discussions to answer any design related questions that may arise.
UX Performance
o Assist the eCommerce Team in monitoring and reviewing the performance of key onsite landing pages. Recommend UX improvements or usability test ideas to boost page performance.
o Work closely with the eCommerce Team to monitor and report on the performance of recently deployed improvements.
o In collaboration with the Director of eCommerce - Define, implement and track key eCommerce UX program KPIs that will be the basis for evaluating this roles performance and its overall impact to the wider organization.
**Required Skills**:
- A portfolio of work demonstrating 3+ years of experience creating great, user centered, website design solutions across multiple interfaces and screen sizes.
- Proficiency in design related tools such as Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator and Invision.
- Understanding of responsive design best practices.
- Understanding of usability research methodologies. Can confidently conduct usability research when required.
- Experience with design systems.
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS.
- Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel and Power Point.
- Scrappy self-starter who can work autonomously and efficiently.
- Excellent verbal and visual communication skills. Ability to clearly present designs, ideas and concepts to cross functional teams.
- Great listening skills and ability to take cross functional requests and action them without many design revisions.
- Can provide estimates on the level of effort for requested support.

**Desired Skills**
- Familiarity with CMS platforms such as Contentful, Builder.io and Adobe Page Builder.
- Design experience working in the retail eCommerce space within the furniture, appliances and home/hardware industries an asset.
- Entry-level front-end development experience a plus.
- Experience running onsite usability tests a plus.
