Yamnuska Mountain Adventures is one of the largest mountain guiding and instruction companies in North America. For over 45 years we have organized climbing, hiking and skiing courses, and expeditions in the mountains of Western Canada and other parts of the world. Our high quality programs provide challenging and rewarding experiences at all levels for local and international clients.
We are looking for an individual with knowledge of mountain activities who enjoys working in a fast paced office environment to join our team as a _**Reservations and Office Assistant**_.
The successful applicant should possess the following qualifications and personal attributes:
- Strong customer service skills and background
- Previous sales or reservations experience an asset
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Google Chrome.
- Knowledge of the tourism industry and outdoor recreation activities
- Knowledge of local climbing, hiking, skiing, and backcountry trips and locations an asset
- Ability to work well independently and in a team environment
- Detail oriented
This full-time seasonal position is 40 hours per week with a preferred May 1st start date and a finishing date of September 15th, however the start and finish dates are flexible. Weekend shifts may be required. There is a potential for the role to become year round.
