As an Accounting & Payroll Analyst, you will be part of the accounting team responsible for the financial activities associated with processing biweekly payroll, performing reconciliations, and general accounting. This position will be approximately 50% payroll and 50% accounting.

**Working Conditions**
- Office environment: Monday to Friday ‐ on site.

**Responsibilities**
- Prepare and process payroll for all salaried and hourly employees, ensuring that all salaries are paid accurately and in a timely fashion.
- Prepare payroll journal entries and post in accounting software, including DPSP clearing account, and monthly payroll accruals.
- Set‐up RRSP‐DPSP and Extended Health Insurance deductions for new and off‐boarded employees
- Manage the SunLife account by calculating and reconciling employee payments and posting the invoice and payments in accounting software.
- Handle all third‐party remittances (WSIB, EHT) and record in accounting software.
- Support the off‐boarding process by generating a record of employment for all prior employees.
- Implement salary increases, bonuses, commissions in accordance with instructions given.
- Upload flight crew per diem reports into ADP biweekly
- Review and issue T4s for all employees, making any necessary adjustments.
- Prepare year‐end EHT, WSIB and payroll accountreconciliations.
- Maintain detailed records and documentation of payroll function for audit purposes in accordance with statutory requirements.
- Handle inquiries regarding the processing of payroll, employee deductions and adjustments
- Collaborate with HR Manager to ensure pay and personnel records are accurate and up to date.
- Assist the accounting team with reconciliations and month‐end procedures.
- Back‐up other team members for recurring tasks
- Perform ad‐hoc analysis as required
- Other duties assigned by management

**What you will bring to Novajet**
- Minimum 2 years payroll experience and 2 years accounting experience
- Canadian payroll designation and accounting degree are preferred
- Working experience with Excel, Word, and accounting software
- Knowledge of payroll systems, provincial regulations and health benefits programs
- Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail with an ability to work within deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible, professional, and self‐motivated individual
