- The YMCA of Northern Alberta is looking for a proven leader to join our Child Care team as the Program Supervisor. This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. This position provides support and leadership to the individual classrooms at the Castle Downs Child Care, including the Prospering Families Child Care. This position is accountable to the staff team as a whole, the participants, volunteers, and the public for successful child-care delivery.-

**7:00 AM-9:30PM Monday-Friday (Flexible)**

**0AM - 5:30PM Saturday**

The Castle Downs Child Care will operate between the hours 7am
- 6pm and the Prospering Families Child Care will operate from 10:30am
- 9:30pm Monday to Friday and Saturdays between 8:30am-5:30pm. Applicants must be available to work any shift between the hours stated.**OUR CULTURE**

- Consistently represent YMCA’s values and mission, comply with all YMCA Policies, procedures and Provincial Licensing and Health regulations
- Work with Educators to ensure curriculum is consistently implemented; create plans to address inconsistencies
- Work in collaboration with YMCA Employment Services to meet targets outlined for Prospering Families Project
- Be present in the classrooms for much of the day to ensure Educator are meeting expectations outlined in their job descriptions and that the environment is clean and in good repair; coach and mentor Educators as required
- Work in ratio when required; complete all tasks as related to an Educator
- Seek out ways to communicate and build relationships with families and the community
- Work as an in-classroom mentor for new hires following the training manual; work with Director on training plan for all new Educators
- Take an active role in your personal development; seek out training with Program Director and set goals accordingly
- Perform the duties of Director when required due to Director absence
- Embrace philanthropy to support the achievement of association goals and enhance member/participant involvement.
- The Program Supervisor role will require a minimum of one evening shift per week (to be determined) and coverage for the Program Directors at both Castle Downs and Prospering Families as needed. This may include; sick days, vacation coverage, or other instances the Program Directors are away including evenings or weekends (Saturday) to support program operations.

**Qualifications/Experience**
- Level 3 Child Care Certification
- Standard or Child Care First Aid & CPR - C
- Able to obtain a Police Information Check with Vulnerable sector check
- Current Leadership experience in a Child Care program
